Celebrate Monsoon in the hills

The design of the campaign was meant to boost up tourist footfall in the hill station of Nainital,
during the otherwise low phased monsoon season.

– The Purpose of the Campaign –

During the monsoon period, the tourism industry local to Nainital, encounters losses due to less number of visitors.
The reasons being landslides, heavy rain, storm burst giving rise to fears of accident and sickness. Hence, this campaign was
launched to attract visitors, by portraying the positive and enjoyable aspects of monsoon. It was initiated by
one of the pioneer in the hotel industry in the town, ‘the Manu Maharani hotel’, a chain of DS Hotels.

– The Place –

Nainital, a hill station in the Kumaon valley, famous for the pear shaped lake, its pleasant weather and
some trekking spots, is the major attraction for tourist in Uttarakhand, a state of India. Besides a holding its position as
one of the best tourist places in India, it holds the dark side of the landslip of 1880,
taking away the major part of the then residentials and 151 lives.

– The Hotel –

The Manu Maharani Hotel, one the finest resorts of the Kumaon Region with elegant surroundings,
flawless services and best of cuisines combined with the pristine beauty of the Kumaon hills, makes it a perfect destination
for a holiday or a business conference. The hotel overlooks the Nainital valley and offers a panoramic view of the magnificent Naini Lake.

– Concept & Strategy –

The campaign was to recollect memories attached to monsoon.

– Logo –

The logo and the logotype was developed in the form of cloud and a water drop.

DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING CONTENT

– Website –

On website, the following points highlighted.
EXPERIENCES – Dedicating the page to share memories of rains during various stages of one’s life.

ACTIVITIES – Offering various activities initiated by the Hotel.

PLANS – It was about the plans / itinerary offered suited for the customised requirement of the traveller.

The overall communication was built to interlink interaction and emotional engagement of the prospective visitor.

– Blog –

The blog section consolidated information on many attractive spots that were ideal to be explored during monsoon.
We explored few places and shot some beautiful images too.

– E-mailer –
